Women to play important role in India’s Rental industry in future: Jitender Aggarwal
It’s time to have more women in India’s equipment rental industry. As industry needs qualified and skilled work force, it should therefore take it as an opportunity to include adequate number of women in the industry as operators, in technical positions and in managerial cadre, and also at senior positions. Therefore, there is a need for creating opportunities and conducive environment for women.
Jitender Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Aggcon Equipments International Pvt Ltd , recently participated in the 2nd meeting of G20 EMPOWER in Thiruvananthapuram. The theme was “Women’s Empowerment: A Win-Win for Equity and Economy.” The G20 EMPOWER 2023 under India’s presidency aims to take forward India’s women-led development agenda.
He said, “India’s Equipment Rental Industry should gradually create conducive environment and more opportunities for women in different fields. It will help in creating women’s leadership in the rental sector and also accelerate their empowerment in the private sector”.
“Empowering women is important for development of nation. It will be faster if opportunities are created for women led development,” he added.

Jitender Aggarwal, also said, “AGGCON is concerned about women and especially the girl child. We believe that ensuring girl child’s education creates an empowered woman of tomorrow.”
“Women empowerment is an important focus area in AGGCON’s policy. AGGCON always celebrates the birth of a girl child in the family of its team members and gives a cheque Rs 10000 to the team member on the birth of daughter. In addition to it, we also ensure free education to daughters of all our employees,” he explained.
AGGCON is also celebrating 20 years of illustrious journey this year.
The G20 EMPOWER meetings are significant because of India’s G20 Presidency which is been seen as inclusive, equitable, ambitious, decisive, and action-oriented pushing forward transformative changes towards women’s economic empowerment.
The participation from rental industry in G20 meetings is a significant step.
According to the Ministry of Women and Child Development, women’s Empowerment is not just an issue of social justice, it is also an economic imperative and an issue of gender equality.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the imperative need for tackling critical issues of women’s access to finance, entrepreneurship, and labour force participation.
