AGGCON donates Rs 42 Lakhs to Centre for national cause in Sewa Pakhwada

 In continuance to its commitment to cleanliness, environment, and social responsibility, AGGCON has donated Rs 42 lakhs to the Centre in this Sewa Pakhwada that started from PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17th Sep 2024 and ended today on Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd Oct 2024. This included Rs 11 Lakh donated in PM Cares Fund and Rs 31 Lakhs donated in Swacchh Bharat Kosh.

AGGCON also participated in Swacchata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2024 during the Sewa Pakhwada and ran cleanliness drive at all the project sites where its machines and teams are deployed.

Last week, Shri Jitender Aggarwal, CMD, AGGCON Equipments International, along with Shri B.M. Aggarwal, Chairman of AGGCON Group, met Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, at his residence and handed over a cheque for Rs 31 lakhs from AGGCON’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds to the Swachh Bharat Kosh as part of the Sewa Pakhwada initiative. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs serves as the nodal agency for the Swachh Bharat Mission in urban areas.

Jitender Aggarwal said, “In today’s world, cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability (LiFE—Lifestyle for Environment) have become essential pillars for the well-being of society”.

“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these values have gained unprecedented importance, with his flagship initiatives, such as the Swachh Bharat Mission and LiFE, focusing on instilling these principles among citizens nationwide”, he added.

He also stated, “It’s an honour to be the part of 10 Years of Swachh Bharat movement. It has sensitized all of us towards cleanliness and hygiene. It’s phenomenal! Swacchh Bharat is very important to have Viksit Bharat “.

Notably, last time, during Sewa Pakhwada, AGGCON had contributed Rs 75 lakhs, with Rs 25 lakhs each donated to the Swachh Bharat Kosh, National Defence Fund, and the PM CARES Fund.
